Welcome back, dear readers!
In our previous posts, we've shared who we are and what we do here at the Housing Resource Hub of Northeast Indiana. Today, we're going to talk about why we do what we do - why it's important to us and why it should matter to you too.
Our mission is twofold: to make the dream of affordable housing a reality for all, and to bridge the wealth gap. It's no secret that these issues have been persistent problems in America. They have been challenging to address, often leaving communities and individuals in a perpetual cycle of struggle.
But we believe in change, and we believe in the power of community and market forces to drive this change. That's why we chose to embrace the H.O.M.E. (Housing Optimization through Market Empowerment) Method.
This innovative method, conceived by our founder Heather Presley-Cowen, leverages market forces to create sustainable solutions to the housing crisis and wealth gap. By optimizing local housing markets, we empower individuals and communities to contribute positively to their local economies. This isn't just about providing shelter; it's about enabling economic prosperity and stability.
We do what we do because we want to see communities thrive. We want to empower people to take charge of their futures, to have a stable place they can call home, and to enjoy the economic opportunities that come with it.
We do it because we believe that everyone deserves a chance at a better life, and we are committed to making that belief a reality, one community at a time.
In the next post, we'll dive into how we put our mission into action. Stay tuned!
